Has Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin Done Any Solo Album Lately?

Introduction

Ogo Ikehin (Latter Glory) was Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin’s first solo album and was recorded in 2004. This album was recorded after about 10 years break from the Gospel music industry. Ogo Ikehin features Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin and some young upcoming gospel Artiste and session men. Some of these upcoming singers eventually graduated into becoming C.A.C. Good Women Choir “SEED”. These set of singers serves as backup for Mrs. D.A.Fasoyin when she goes out for Church Ministration. What this means is that already she has started passing the baton to the younger generation. The tracks in the album are all praises. Mrs D.A. Fasoyin uses the album to thank God for giving her another opportunity to praise Him. She also has two tracks in English which makes it different from her usual conventional Yoruba songs.

Ibere Otun album was Mrs D.A. Fasoyin second solo release and was recorded on the 21st April 2007 on Berachah Music record label while the video was shot in January 2008 under the same record label. The video played a very significant role in Mrs D.A. Fasoyin’s music ministry because the video made those who before now thought she can no longer singing, see her praising God again with her voice. The video is necessary for people to see that Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin is actually the person that sang the song in the audio. Because before the recording of the audio, there was rumour that Mrs D.A.Fasoyin had some health issues and as such may not be able to sing again. All the songs in the video are praises. We see Mrs D.A.Fasoyin returning glory and thanks to God for making it possible for her to use music ministration to work for Him once again after about ten years of absence from the gospel music scene. Glory! Halleluyah to our Lord.

Apart from the above two solo album released by Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin, she also dropped other 4 singles to the glory of God.

The first single is titled “Gba’Koso Nigeria” that is “Take Control Of Nigeria”. Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin entered the studio with C.A.C. Good Women Choir “SEED”, to record this track which was released on the 15th February 2019 on Berachah Music label. “Gba’koso Nigeria” track is an inspiration from God to speak to Nigerians to hand over the affairs of the nation to God and allow Him to choose a God fearing leader for the nation.

The second single track is titled “Odun Nlo Sopin WAZOBIA” which was the beginning of Odun Nlo Sopin Series. Berachah Music on the 18th August 2020 put together Odun Nlo Sopin Series 1 – WAZOBIA to extend the divine supernatural covering blessings in the evergreen “Odun Nlo Sopin” to all by translating the song into the three major languages in Nigeria that is, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo.

The third single track in Odun Nlo Sopin Series is titled “Odun Nlo Sopin Series 2 – Apala”.  We introduced Odun Nlo Sopin Series 2 – “Apala” a praise song to appreciate Jesus Christ and give glory to Him for sparing our lives to see the end of the year. This particular Series is for the numerous brethren that love “Gospel Apala” genre.
